Rotary machine polishers provide a huge amount of correction power due to the immense speed at which that they rotate. However, that power isn't only applied to the paint surface, it can also take a toll on the backing plate and pads you use with it! Because of this, you need to make sure that you are using a backing plate that is extremely durable, so it won't wear too quickly when used with your rotary polisher. Rotary polishers also use a specific 5/8inch threading that the backing plates needs to match so it will attached securely and not risk flying off while buffing!
All of the rotary backing plates we carry are built with extremely durable materials, from the threaded attachment bolt to the adhesive that holds the hook and loop material! This ensures that even though rotary polishers can generate A LOT of power, these backing plates can withstand the strain that's put on them!
